About The Hostel Budapest Center

Hostel Budapest Center is located in the inner city district of Budapest. This was historically called the 4th district. It is roughly 50 metres away from the Astoria metro station. There are also various other supermarkets, pubs, and other restaurants nearby. There is a large 24-hour supermarket in the neighbouring 5th district. Many guests have said that this is one of the most exciting places to stay in Budapest.

The hostel was renovated in 2011 and a new wing was opened in 2012. The rooms are well lit and designed. An interesting thing we found in their rooms – they have taken care to attach reading lights on all the beds. The hostel has wooden flooring which keeps the rooms warm during winters and walls which have been tastefully colored. It’s always nice to stay in a place with good ambience. This ensures a peaceful and pleasant stay and you have lots of good memories to take back.

Budapest Center has 9 different types of rooms like 6-bed dormitories, 6-bed private rooms, 5,4,3, and 2-bed private rooms. You have options for shared and private bathrooms and even single beds for lone travelers are available. There are also two guest kitchens in the hostel.

The hostel is very particular about cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms and other common areas. They have contracted professionals to do the cleaning work every day from 10 AM to 1 PM. The hostel also provides free wifi to all the guests in the rooms and the common areas.

The rooms have a 60-channel television set, writing tables, chairs, cosmetic desk, safes, and wardrobes. The staff are very friendly and can help you plan your sightseeing trips around Budapest. A 24-hour reception is accompanied by a tour desk where you can get tour related details. If you’ve ever travelled to Budapest, then you know that the nightlife is not something you can afford to miss out on! The pedestrian-friendly Váci street is famous for its shops and cafe bars and is only an 8-minute walk away from the hostel.

The hostel can accommodate a maximum of 35-38 people. So don’t expect too much of a crowd. It’s the ideal place for travelers who have a few days to explore Budapest and wouldn’t like to use too much public transport. The hostel is also not a party hostel. Therefore, it’s not recommended for those who wish to use it only for partying. Stopping short of that, the staff warmly welcome partygoers. Holiday season is coming up!
